This series is an exploration of identity and vulnerability through the rawness of black and white. The grainy texture and high contrast evoke the aesthetics of analogue cinema, where the image becomes a document of the real and the perceived.
The body, in its frontal and unadorned posture, is presented as a testimony of presence and resistance. The gaze, halfway between confrontation and surrender, questions the viewer about his or her own role as observer. Light and shadow not only shape the figure, but also suggest the dichotomy between exposure and concealment, desire and detachment.
In this space, photography ceases to be a simple record to become an act of affirmation and questioning, where each image is a reflection of the tension between being and seeming.
