When we talk about a free press, we mean that news agencies and other publications, even individual citizens, have the right to disseminate information without interference or fear of reprisal from the state or other powerful entities or individuals.
The purpose of a free press is to ensure that the people are free to receive and disseminate information that is not manipulated or served to serve any particular person, organization or interest.
Today, undermining this need, there is also the growth in the creation of fake news, of false content, making the concept of a free press difficult.
It remains necessary to leave everyone free to express their own thoughts, unfiltered by censorship of any nature, be it writings of a political nature, bloody images of human actions or, simply, a glamorous expression of the human body.
